And since we know that you and your furry friend are probably itching to get out and explore now that the lockdowns have been lifted, we’ve put together this handy guide to great places where you and your buddy can get out and enjoy the city. Dusty Rhodes Park (1.4 miles away)

Dusty Rhodes Park houses a fenced-in dog park, along with a grassy field where you can play with leashed pups. There’s even a dog festival, the Canine Carnival, held here each year.

 Dog Beach in Ocean Beach (2.1 miles away)

The Ocean Beach Dog Beach is San Diego’s original dog-friendly beach, founded in 1972 as a welcoming and inclusive place for canines and their companions.

Fiesta Island (4.2 miles away)

Fiesta Island is a park on a peninsula in Mission Bay, where races and charity events often occur and dog lovers and their off-leash furry friends are known to congregate.

Nate’s Point (6.1 miles away)

Located near Balboa Park, the Nate’s Point Dog Off-Leash Area two-acre park has entertained vivacious pups since the mid-nineties, and welcomes owners and their dogs on a daily basis.

 

Cabrillo Tidepools Trail (8 miles away)

Cabrillo Tidepools Trail offers amazing scenery and plenty of terrain where dogs and their owners can take in the ocean views and historic monuments.

 

Del Mar Dog Beach (19.6 miles away)

Dog Beach in Del Mar designates four blocks to off-leash dogs in early mornings during the off season, and leashed dogs are allowed on all other area beaches, including the state beach at Torrey Pines.
