Dog-Friendly Parks, Beaches, and Restaurants in San Diego

Cities don’t come more dog-friendly than San Diego, with its abundant sunshine (so you never have to worry about walking Fido in a snowstorm or an Arctic blast), its peaceful and laid-back atmosphere, and the pet-friendly establishments located throughout some of its 100-plus neighborhoods. Acquaint yourself with the below parks, beaches, and eateries that are open to well-behaved pups.

MFW I find a new dog beach 😄 Dog beaches are my happy place. I definitely have my favorites (Carmel Beach being one of them), but I love exploring new ones. This trip to San Diego we ventured North a bit to Del Mar's dog beach and it did not disappoint. With a beautiful landscape and sand for days, I really got to stretch my legs. There also seemed to be more smaller dogs here than Ocean Beach, so I was more comfortable playing chase with some of the doggos. #delmardogbeach #delmar #beachlife #travelgram #california #california_igers #californialove #californiadogs #californiadoodle #doodlesofcalifornia #buzzfeedanimals #dog_features #dogfeatures #doggos #dogsandpals #dogscorner #eastbaydoodles #labradoodleoftheday #minidoodle #mydogiscutest #sniffandbarkens #topdogphoto #weeklyfluff #animalsinfluence #doggos #doglove #dogsofig #doodlelover #doggodays6
