A Personal Perspective: Kim + Kris’s Wedding
We asked the Dana on Mission Bay’s very own Director of Sales what she experienced as both a guest and the Matron of Honor for Kim and Kris’s Wedding.
Having my brother and long-time girlfriend get married at the Dana has many layers of meaning to me. My first hotel job was at the Dana in 2007, my husband and I got married there in 2010, and I returned to the Dana that same year. Helping their vision come to life by using my years of wedding and events knowledge on both the professional and personal side is like a dream come true for a junior parent/older sister like myself for her little brother. We’ve spent many holidays at the Dana, and I’m happy to add on a momentous one like their wedding, to the list of treasured celebrations.
Kim & Kris’s wedding featured some of the most immaculate details from their stationary, to their floral displays, and wedding party apparel. Besides laughter and smiles from the guests, the cocktail hour on the terrace was filled with photos from their 12 years as a couple both within their guest book and scattered on their display tables in various gold frames. Their acrylic welcome sign and card box were perfect touches to tie in with their acrylic seating chart in white lettering which was displayed on several eight foot tall garden hedges. Inside the ballroom, a circular, white dance floor centralized the space; but all eyes focused on the birch-wood hexagon arch where ivory, mauve, blush, and lavender flowers elegantly waterfall-ed off the sweetheart table. Each guest table featured amazing florals matched by rose gold table numbers, charger plates, and personalized wedding favors.
