We stayed in the new part of the complex and it was fabulous! We were upgraded and the room was huge. The service was great and we were recommended to a local restaurant which was excellent! I highly recommend this hotel.

Apparently in reading other reviews it appears it is all about LOCATION!! LOCATION!! LOCATION!! at this hotel. I highly recommend room 2120. It appears to be in the newer section.The room with sitting room was huge, tastfully decorated and kept clean during our 4 day stay.BUT the GREATEST thing about this room was the unobstucted BAY VIEW and MARINA from our private patio that was so big you could just about run laps in it.The room is on the corner of the building. The hotel seemed pretty full but you wouldn't know it because the location of the room was so quiet.We even watched the Sea World Fireworks from our patio which had a better view than watching it from Sea World. Guest Services?? From the Front Desk to Housekeeping were attentive, and filled our needs quickly and with a smile. Couple little things. $12.00 to park??? A parking gate that wouldn't work with our hotel key. Limited and very tight parking near our room.FIRMER PILLOWS!! We didn't eat at the restarants on site. We wanted to try "Blue Pearl" one evening but their "Limited" menu did not appeal to us. Our next "San Diego" stay will definately include "The Dana" if we can get the same room or one of the two above it.
