Make the last night of the year a fun, festive way to say goodbye to 2017 and welcome 2018 at one of the many New Year's Eve parties around San Diego. These are just some of the events where you can toast to the arrival of the new year:
• Those too young to toast with champagne will love celebrating New Year's Eve at Legloland. The Kids' New Year's Eve Party means they don't have to stay up past their bedtimes to greet 2018. Starting at 6pm, there's a party, a countdown and brick drop to mark the turning of the calendar, and fireworks to end the night.
• Laugh the night away at the American Comedy Club's New Year's Eve event with Jessimae Peluso. There'll be a champagne toast along with the jokes.
• Head out to sea on a luxury yacht New Year's Eve cruise featuring two decks with dancing and a third deck for watching the stars. There'll be appetizers, champagne, and the beautiful San Diego skyline behiind you.
• The Maritime Museum is pressing one of its historic ships into service as the setting for a Black & Gold New Year's Eve Party. The steam ferry Berkeley, from 1898, is the perfect setting to welcome 2018. There'll be lots of music for dancing, appetizers, champagne, and other fun ways to celebrate.
The Dana on Mission Bay is conveniently located to get you to any of the night's special events, but you don't have to head out to a party to have the perfect New Year's Eve. Watch the night sky above the waterfront at The Dana on Mission Bay and have your own, special private countdown.
