Lunar New Year at SeaWorld San Diego - The Dana on Mission Bay

Across the Pacific Ocean from San Diego lie the lands of Asia. Their food and cultural traditions have made the journey across the ocean to celebrate the Lunar New Year Festival at SeaWorld San Diego.

As part of the festival, there will be performance by the Chinese Acrobats of Hebei, featuring lion dancers, plate spinners, contortionists, and other amazing talents. Their shows will take place four times per day. There will also be ongoing performances at the Festival Stage, featuring a dragon parade.

The festival area also features the flavors of Asia, including a Bao sandwich and stuffed pancakes. There's even Asian-inspired pizza! Enjoy these bites as you celebrate the start of the Year of the Rooster.

The Lunar New Year Festival at SeaWorld is in addition to all their other great attractions. Don't miss the shows featuring dolphins, sea lions, and killer shales. Then get close to other sea life at Turtle Reef, the Shark Encounter, Dolphin Point, and the Penguin Encounter. You'll have thrilling wet, watery adventures on rides that take you on a Journey to Atlantis, a wild flight over the Arctic, or on a spinning tube ride through rapids.

Getting to SeaWorld from The Dana on Mission Bay is easy. The Dana is only a half mile from the park, and we even offer free shuttle service to get you there without any hassle.
